Abstract

This article presents a demonstration of an Electronic Support Measures (ESM) System based on Software-Defined Radio (SDR), with processing in a tablet device and the use of the antenna of the P-95 aircraft. Experiments showed that the proposed device, when confronted with characteristic emissions of radar signals, detected received pulses and their parameters with an error rate around 0.05%, when only one signal was received or when a complex electromagnetic environment was simulated. . The system was able to indicate the name of the simulated emitters according to a Mission Data Library (MDL). Finally, this work shows that it could operate up to 40 GHz with the integration of envelope detectors and amplifiers suitable for this purpose.
