Journal Overview

Spectrum is a peer-reviewed, Diamond Open Access academic journal maintained by the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA). Our objective is to foster rigorous debate and the dissemination of high-quality research that drives the technological and operational development of the Defense and Security sector.

Aligned with international best practices in scientific publishing and the need for rapid communication in modern science, Spectrum adopts the Continuous Article Publication (CAP) model.

What this means: Under this agile model, articles are not held in backlog waiting for a complete issue to be compiled. As soon as a manuscript is approved through the rigorous peer review process and completes the typesetting stage, it is published immediately with its respective DOI, making it instantly available for the scientific community to read, download, and cite.

Periodicity: All articles published continuously throughout the year are compiled into at least one regular annual volume/issue. Special publications originating from events or thematic dossiers may be included as supplementary issues.
