The growing use of infrared missiles from shoulder against air targets demands constant development of methods of employing countermeasures systems. Seeking out analyze the effectiveness of flare-type countermeasures, scenarios operating systems are modeled, using the SIMIS software in the MWIR (Medium Wavelength Infrared) and SWIR (Short Wavelength Infrared). The images provided were used in a model implemented in Simulink to analyze the effects of flare launch on 1st and 2nd generation autodirectors. The influence of employing countermeasures with two methods different releases was analyzed. The obtained results emphasize the importance and need for the development of more complex computational tools, aiming at the development of flare employment doctrine.
