Estudo para Emprego de Enlace Analógico à Fibra Óptica por WDM de Múltiplos Sinais de RF em Avaliações Operacionais

This article presents the results of the study of analog links to fiber optics with potential use in RF signal transmission aiming at the Operational Evaluation of the ship, aircraft, and submarine. Special emphasis was dedicated to the performance parameters study. Regarding the theoretical model used in the study, two stages are highlighted. Initially, the modeling of a single-channel analog link, in which intensity modulation and direct detection techniques are employed, is presented. The second stage consists in applying the modeling, thus developed, to the analysis of a multichannel link that employs the wavelength division multiplexing technique. The analysis of the performance parameters of this link has revealed its high potential for use in the practical applications mentioned above. The final considerations emphasize the relevance of the results obtained, as well as additional suggestions on the possibility of using the results obtained.
